Qubely Not Working

Qubely not working? Common errors and how to fix them

Last updated:

Most Qubely problems today come from one thing: Qubely is no longer maintained. Its last update was March 10, 2025, so it isn’t keeping up with new WordPress and PHP releases or fixing reported security issues. Below are the three most common problems and what you can do about each. The lasting fix is to migrate from Qubely to Roobely, an actively maintained fork that converts your Qubely blocks automatically with Roobely Pro.

1. “Your site doesn’t include support for the qubely/row block”

WordPress shows this message in the block editor when the plugin that registers a block isn’t running. Every Qubely block (qubely/row, qubely/heading, qubely/button and so on) is registered by the Qubely plugin, so this almost always means Qubely is deactivated, was deleted, or is failing to load.

What to do:

  • Go to Plugins and check whether Qubely (and Qubely Pro, if you use it) is installed and active.
  • Leave the affected blocks as they are for now. Don’t delete them or convert them to HTML while you decide on a fix.
  • Reactivating Qubely brings the blocks back, but only on a plugin that no longer gets updates.
  • To fix it for good, install Roobely and Roobely Pro. Roobely Pro converts Qubely blocks, including qubely/row, to Roobely blocks automatically. Follow the step-by-step migration guide.

2. Qubely breaking on newer WordPress or PHP versions

The Qubely listing on WordPress.org says it’s tested up to WordPress 6.7 and warns that it hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. Topics in Qubely’s WordPress.org support forum report errors filling up PHP logs, block errors after changing settings, and front-end styles not rendering.

What to do:

  • Check your PHP error log to see whether the errors come from the Qubely plugin folder.
  • Clear your page cache and any CSS caching, then reload the page.
  • Don’t hold back WordPress or PHP updates to keep Qubely working. Those updates include security fixes.
  • Move your Qubely pages to a maintained plugin. Roobely is tested up to WordPress 7.1 and needs PHP 7.4 or later. See the Qubely alternative that keeps your pages.

3. Unpatched Qubely security issues

The Patchstack vulnerability database lists these issues for Qubely 1.8.14 and earlier. For each one it shows “No official patch available”, and it rates all of them low priority.

  • CVE-2026-65531: Broken Access Control (CVSS 4.8), published July 23, 2026.
  • CVE-2026-39638: Cross-Site Scripting (CVSS 5.9), published February 14, 2026.
  • CVE-2025-58663: Broken Access Control (CVSS 4.3), published September 22, 2025.
  • CVE-2025-58249: Sensitive Data Exposure (CVSS 4.3), published September 22, 2025.

Because there’s no patched version of Qubely to update to, the way to remove the issues is to replace the plugin. Roobely Pro converts your Qubely blocks automatically, and once your pages look right you can delete Qubely. Source: Patchstack: Qubely vulnerabilities.

The lasting fix: move to Roobely

Roobely is an actively maintained fork of Qubely. Roobely Pro converts your Qubely and Qubely Pro blocks to Roobely blocks automatically and keeps their content and styling, so you don’t rebuild your site. Most sites are fully switched in under 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my site say it doesn’t include support for the qubely/row block?

The block editor shows this message when the plugin that registers a block isn’t running. Qubely blocks are registered by the Qubely plugin, so the message usually means Qubely is deactivated, deleted or failing to load.

Is Qubely still being updated?

No. Themeum announced in October 2023 that it was sunsetting Qubely. The last release on WordPress.org is version 1.8.14 from March 10, 2025, tested up to WordPress 6.7.

Does Qubely have unpatched security issues?

Yes. Patchstack lists several vulnerabilities in Qubely 1.8.14 and earlier with no official patch available, including CVE-2026-65531, CVE-2026-39638, CVE-2025-58663 and CVE-2025-58249. Patchstack rates them low priority.

How do I fix Qubely for good?

Move to a maintained plugin. Roobely is an actively maintained fork of Qubely, and Roobely Pro converts your Qubely blocks automatically, so you don’t rebuild your pages. See how to migrate from Qubely.
